Honda Integra Type R

The Honda Integra Type R has limited production because it is not a car for everyone. This car is designed especially for car specialists and more specifically, those who love to race. For one, noise filtering insulation is not included in the Integra Type R so the ride is has higher noise levels. A standard Integra Type R has no radio and the space inside is cozy at best. The trunk is a mere afterthought and you'll be fighting for head and leg room in an Integra Type R.

What you do get is responsive steering, exceptional handling, and a beautifully purring engine. A standard Integra Type R has Recaro racing seats, slamming skirts, and sporty spoilers. The Integra Type R is definitely not for lazy driving and this kind of car needs to be taken out and tested.

The Honda Integra Type R is a limited edition car which has two variants: the DC2 Type R and the DC5 Type R:

The DC2 Type R is more popularly known as Acura Integra Type R in North America. The DC2 Type R is outfitted with a B18C 1.8 Li DOHC VTEC engine which gives the car 200 hp at 8000 rpm. The DC2 Type R was first released in 1995 and had undergone many revamps since. In other countries it has power of 190 bhp, a max speed of 143 mph, and can go from zero to 100 mph in 16.8 seconds flat.

The DC5 is the latest version of the Honda Integra Type R. This new model is powered by a K20A, 220 horsepower, 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC 4 cylinder engine. The DC5 is only available in Japan .
