Optics for a fast roading - the reconstruction to the M3 GT with the engineering supervision

BMW M3, designed at the Bavarian engine works, a sports car of high power, in the road traffic or on the race circuit, currently convinces in its fourth generation. The high level of perfection and attention to the parts from the supplier plant make the M3 a Brocken powerful mountain in relation to the modification topic.

CLP Automotive, the company specializing in the body kits, from the city of Georgensgmünd, Germany, responds to this challenge and is proud to provide BMW M3 GT, the top-class car.The long set of CLP, called, the “Interceptor”, which transmits its name to the BMW M3 GT, and which should be paid 8880 euro for, is responsible for the optics.
In a set you will receive:

- the forebody section carbon facing
- the motor hood
- the front wing
- the side channel bar
- the sidewall jet
- the rear apron
- the rear spoiler

The solid 9 and 12x19 inch sports disks shine not only because of its white color, adapted to the rest of the car, but also due to the optical adapter plugs of the delayed firing, which gives the wheel a central attachment optics.

The power increase, based on the compressor, the responsibility for which lies on the 600 hp, can be found under the bonnet along with the optimized Bilstein-thread of the running gear, which monitors the binding driving pleasure. The Akrapovic titanium exhaust system - naturally with the suitable modified exhaust pipe - completes the set and contributes to the acoustic link.
There are the Recaro bucket seats and the modified fixture in the CLP-M3 GT saloon for the overtaking from Wiechers for the binding security. Naturally, the weight optimization is taken into consideration and is persistently carried out.
The total cost of the reconstruction is 69.000 euro.

Mitsubishi 3000GT GTO

Mitsubishi 3000GT GTO drag race is a subscription night at the Juanda, Surabaya. Remarkably, two-door sedan production in 1997 was able to defeat rival and classmate, such as the Honda S2000, Nissan Skyline, or the Mazda RX-7 which already has spec above average standard car.

Of view there was no change in body extreme. Shooting also directly led to the engine. Galih Wira, GTO owners, handed it to the A section of the home modifications Ling Ambassador Jaya to boost energy. Amazingly, without much to do korekan and excessive replacement, engine surge to 30 percent of the initial power 276 HP. Distance of 201 meters was achieved in 8.6 seconds.

"There's only a little addition and change the ECU," called A Ling on kitchen runway. Changes include the fuel pump is replaced with a standard to prevent delays Walbro fuel into the fuel. If the fuel pump to spray the standard 160 liters / hour, Walbro could reach 255 liters / hour.

In addition, the twin turbo boost is increased to 1.1 bar. The size was chosen because, according to A Ling, intake is still the standard and also to prevent cracks. Ignition timing also changed with a little advanced for yield in the space of time can burn early. If it is too forward, could be detonation.

HONDA INTEGRA Type R

Honda Integra Type R

The Honda Integra Type R has limited production because it is not a car for everyone. This car is designed especially for car specialists and more specifically, those who love to race. For one, noise filtering insulation is not included in the Integra Type R so the ride is has higher noise levels. A standard Integra Type R has no radio and the space inside is cozy at best. The trunk is a mere afterthought and you'll be fighting for head and leg room in an Integra Type R.

What you do get is responsive steering, exceptional handling, and a beautifully purring engine. A standard Integra Type R has Recaro racing seats, slamming skirts, and sporty spoilers. The Integra Type R is definitely not for lazy driving and this kind of car needs to be taken out and tested.

The Honda Integra Type R is a limited edition car which has two variants: the DC2 Type R and the DC5 Type R:

The DC2 Type R is more popularly known as Acura Integra Type R in North America. The DC2 Type R is outfitted with a B18C 1.8 Li DOHC VTEC engine which gives the car 200 hp at 8000 rpm. The DC2 Type R was first released in 1995 and had undergone many revamps since. In other countries it has power of 190 bhp, a max speed of 143 mph, and can go from zero to 100 mph in 16.8 seconds flat.

The DC5 is the latest version of the Honda Integra Type R. This new model is powered by a K20A, 220 horsepower, 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC 4 cylinder engine. The DC5 is only available in Japan .

BMW 1M Track Day at OCRC with ESS, KW V3, Eisenmann, HRE, Toyo

1Addicts forum member “biglare” takes his heavily modded BMW 1M to the race track. Using several parts from ESS, Eisenmann, HRE or Toyo, the 1M shows what can be done with the new “baby-M” when money is no object. Our long-time sponsors and friends over at IND Distribution have also contributed to this project by adding a full exhaust system from Eisenmann.
Let’s have a look at the story as described by the owner.
“I finally was able to get the 1M on the track after a few mods. I knew this car was going to be a blast on the track, but I did not expect it to rip it up and be as fast as it turned out to be. The low end torque in this car is just a beast and really helps you power out of the corners, almost too much as you have to ease into the gas pedal to prevent too much rear end sliding. Although, some rear end sliding was fun too!

The added power and torque from the ESS Tuning Stage 1 tune was great on the track. The oil temps were slightly above 250 even during the day of 85 degrees. The car performed flawlessly and the power never faded even during a long 25+min session. The throttle response was quick and sometimes too much, haha! Very please with the ESS Tune and cannot wait to try out their Stage 2 version.
As for KW V3′s I had the settings right in the middle as this was the first track event with them. The car felt pretty close to stock while driving on the street, despite the lowered right height. However, on the track it is a different story. The first thing I noticed was the reduced body roll while cornering and then how the car was just planted to the pavement. I did not change any of the settings, but one of the instructors said they reduce the bump and increase the compression a bit. For me after a couple of sessions I felt very comfortable and could increase my speed with confidence and control.
The tires used were Toyo Proxes1 in 255/35 and 295/35 19′s on HRE P43S wheels. Once the pressure was adjusted properly the tires were pretty sticky and held up well after about six sessions of 20-25 minutes each. I’ll have to see how these tires continue to hold up after the track session for street use now.
The exhaust on the 1M is the Eisenmann Race full exhaust, thanks to IND. It sounds great and is not too loud at all. The cold start is a little loud, but that is because of the higher rpm’s of the engine at start-up. After a few seconds the rpm’s settle down and so does the amplitude leaving a nice deep exhaust tone. The exhaust sounds fantastic inside the car when under load at WOT, but is not too loud. I think it is the perfect balance of tone to confirm that this little rocket means business.
The track at OCRC was laid out in clock-wise fashion over 2.6 miles. There were a couple of sharp turns requiring a downshift to 2nd gear and then all the way up to 4th gear for the long straight with speeds of around 100-110mph. The track was more technical, but when the correct line was used you could really carry some serious speed though some of the sections.
I was surprised when the 1M was hanging tough with a GT2RS and a Turbo by mid-day. Other cars out there included a Carrera GT, Z06′s, GT3RS, Gallardo, GTR, M3, Lotus, and several others. There were only two groups as the attendance on Sunday was much smaller than Saturday, so I picked the correct day to attend for maximum track time.
Special Thanks to IND for getting the exhaust and KW’s to me so quickly, HG Motorsports for installing all my mods and to HRE for getting the wheels built so quickly.”

BMW 1 Series M Coupe tuned by APP – 404 hp

German tuner APP revealed their own version of the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe. The performance kit offer both visual upgrades, as well as a significant power increase. The interesting part of the kit is the new suspension which includes an iPad/iPhone application for controlling your ride settings.
First change comes from under the hood. The 1 Series M gets a performance boost courtesy of MR Car Design that takes output from a standard 340 PS (250 kW / 335 bhp) to 410 PS (302 kW / 404 bhp).
Additionally, APP adds a lightweight titanium exhaust system and a KW Variante 3 coilover suspension with DDC (direct digital control).

To cope with the increased power, the APP 1M sits on lightweight wheels from ATS with Pirelli P Zero tires.

Inside, the standard seats are replaced by lightweight sport seats upholstered in BMW Performance Alcantara and a sport steering wheel from BMW Performance.
Visually, the APP 1 Series M Coupe showcases an interesting paint scheme, Orange/Black/Gray. A similar paint scheme but in ///M colors was first offered on the CSL racing car.
The price for all these upgrades? A whooping 14,000 euros.

AC Schnitzer in Geneva: ACS5 Sport S and lightweight Z4 Coupé 99d (E89)

German tuner AC Schnitzer will once again join the Geneva Motor Show with an interesting range of vehicles. Details are still scarce at the moment, but the Germany company is unveiled two different vehicles.
First, the ACS5 Sport S, a sporty interpretation of the BMW 5 Series F10. The car takes the factory 407 horsepower from the BMW 550i to an impressive 540 horsepower. The peak torque climbs to 750Nm. Overall, this is performance could measure up to the levels of the next M5. The 0 to 62 mph is said to come in only 4.5 seconds, top speed is clocks out at 320 km/h.
In addition, the Aachen-based tuner says the lateral dynamic capabilities are located much higher than in the regular model. Despite the massive power increase, the consumption does not exceed the standard BMW 550i F10 levels.

Second vehicle to be introduced is a new lightweight project called AC Schnitzer 99d which is based on the current BMW Z4 Roadster. The “99″ in the naming designation actually stands for the CO2 emissions of the vehicle.
The factory 163 horsepower turbo diesel was brought to 190 horsepower and transplanted into the Z4. For an even better power to weight ratio, the Z4 was converted to replace the metal folding roof.
The vehicle weight savings were 230 kilograms. The acceleration to 62 mph is in 6.9 seconds, top speed is 235 km / h.
The most salient feature is the standard consumption, 3.8 liters diesel.
Price for the Z4 99? 149,000 €.
We will report live from Geneva with more details and photos on Tuesday, March 2nd.

Honda CR-Z Type R J's Racing

One of the premiere tuners for Honda and Acura vehicles, J’s Racing is known for building parts for those who want to get out on the track.
On display at the Tokyo Auto Salon, the J’s Racing team brought along fully modified versions of the Civic Type R and the new CR-Z. Both models feature custom bodywork with vented carbon fiber hoods and the CR-Z gets a large carbon fiber rear wing that actually suits the sporty hybrid’s shape.
Other upgrades include 18-inch Rays wheels, Recaro seats, a J’s Racing exhaust for each car and the company’s own Hyper ECU tuning.

Honda NSX

Rumors have been tossed around for years that Honda is debating whether or not to bring the NSX back to the research and development stage, possibly releasing a true successor to one of Japan’s most exotic cars. When the HSV-010 GT race car was announced, belief was that Honda would be resurrecting the NSX’s development following its shelving back in 2008.

Now it looks like Honda fans will get their wish granted.
Company president Takashi Ito recently confirmed that NSX development is underway and Honda may be re-entering the realm of true exotic sports car to battle it out against the likes of Nissan’s GT-R and the Lexus LFA. With so many years having gone by without a new NSX, some feel that Honda’s top-of-the-line model has lost its shine with all of Japan’s finest now taking the spotlight. Perhaps it’s just wishful thinking right now that Honda will strike bigger and better with a new NSX, but we’re optimists at heart.

Honda NSX Hybrid 2012 Super GT Series

While we continue to anxiously await a possible NSX successor for the street, Honda has been out at Twin Ring Motegi in Japan testing an NSX Hybrid for the upcoming 2012 Super GT season. The 2012 season will allow teams to equip and utilize a hybrid system on their race cars in the series.

Made by Zytech (the company that handled McLaren’s Formula 1 KERS system), the hybrid drive has 40kw of output power and can be used to power the car in pit lane (full electric).
The battery can be fully charged in just one lap on a course and has about 20 seconds of use when the driver opts to turn on the overtake button. The system adds another 220 lbs or so to the race car and to determine just how big of a difference it makes Honda enlisted the driving expertise of Katsutomo Kaneishi.
Kaneishi was able to lap Twin Ring Motegi in 1 minute, 49.468 seconds. It was 4.453 seconds behind the fastest lap time recorded in that session. Development of these hybrid systems for Super GT will continue for the next year and change, so we’ll anxiously await the results and how it’ll impact the Super GT race series.
Now if Honda could pair a powerful KERS system with a high-output version of one of its V6 engines and drop it in the HSV-010 GT race car chassis and make it street legal … now we’re talking!
